From a very young age, I found joy in taking care of others. As a child, I would do my father's pedicures and manicures while he battled lung cancer. That early act of love — showing someone they mattered through care and attention — became the heartbeat of everything I do today.

I grew up doing makeup and nails for family and friends at every special occasion, learning techniques from magazines and pure determination. My mother saw my talent before I did, and she encouraged me to turn it into a profession. So I worked at a nail salon to put myself through college — and that's where my story really began to unfold.

While modeling on the side, I discovered photography — and a mentor who would change my life.Clatties Moorer taught me the art of makeup for black and white film and invited me to assist on his shoots. Those sessions deepened my understanding of light, composition, and the powerful relationship between makeup and the camera.

Word spread quickly about my skills. I was soon referred to Hairweb.com magazine for local shoots, which gave me my first professional portfolio — seven tear sheets that opened the door to a freelance position with M.A.C Cosmetics. My career took off from there.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with some of the most respected names in beauty and fashion: Bobbi Brown, Chanel, and Sam Fine. I've collaborated with celebrities including Alicia Keys, Queen Noor of Jordan, Zac Posen, and Montel Jordan. I've contributed to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Oscar de la Renta, and Saks Fifth Avenue Fashion Shows.

In 2015, on my 10-year wedding anniversary vacation, I casually told my husband that I'd retire as a photographer. That lighthearted remark sparked something I couldn't ignore:Why wait to combine my passions? That day, I began building Sai Launa Makeup & Photography — a true one-stop experience where makeup artistry and photography come together seamlessly.

Today, from my studio at the Polygon in Atlanta, I help women — especially wives and mothers —rediscover their confidence and embrace their true potential. Because you deserve to feel beautiful, seen, and ready to take on the world.
